What at first seems to be a harmless game of evaluating others based on entirely arbitrary criteria becomes a bizarre farse full of suspicion and reciprocated attacks. Psychological savagery and childish taunts leave no head cool for long… The preeminent modern Greek screenwriter, Efthymis Filippou, author of The Lobster, remains faithful to his theme of portraying confined micro-worlds that function according to their own often bizarre and absurd rules; Chevalier is no exception.
