The world is threatened by overpopulation, current food production can’t keep up and it will be necessary to find new sources of nourishment. Bugs present the ideal alternative.

Scientist Josh Evans and chef Roberto Flore travel the world in search of all kinds of edible bugs.  From large Australian larvae, to Sardinian maggot cheese, to the queen termites of Africa, the palette of insectile tastes is highly varied and surprisingly healthy and nutritious. Would you like a salad of mealworms, or a bug muffin? Recipes that appear bizarre at first glance could soon become find their place on our everyday menu. This film humorously presents viewers with the serious question of how to provide food for what will soon be the 9 billion inhabitants of our planet.
