On a hunting ranch in Namibia, several tourist come to spice up their holiday by shooting big game. But who is the hunter, and who is the prey?
After exploring the cellars of Austria, observer of human nature, Ulrich Seidl, turns his attention to a topic he explored from a different angle in the first episode of his Paradise trilogy. This time, his stylized documentary takes us to the paradise of big game hunters, to zebras, antelope, impalas, and other creatures that have the pleasure of being the target of gun-wielding German and Austrian tourists. This bizarre world where initiation rituals, inequality, colonialism and human stupidity meet, enables the author to make use of his typical irony and captures human nature in detail.
